For law students and practitioners

Check your Bluebook citations before someone else does.

Upload a memo, brief, essay, note, or article. Citation Workbench checks citation form under the Bluepages or Whitepages, suggests corrections, and can check case citations and quotations against the Westlaw PDFs you upload. You keep the final say.

What it checks

The mistakes that cost points and credibility.

Case citations

Table T6 abbreviations like "Bd. of Educ.", reporters, pincites, page ranges, and court-and-date parentheticals, including when to leave the court out.

Signals and parentheticals

"See, e.g.," punctuation, signal typeface, explanatory parentheticals, short forms like Id., and subsequent history.

Statutes and more

U.S.C. and state codes, constitutions, court rules, regulations, secondary sources, and web citations.

Important: Citation Workbench checks citation form and finds matching passages in sources you upload. It does not decide whether an authority supports your argument or is still good law. Findings marked "Verify" or "Manual check" mean the tool could not decide, not that your citation is wrong.
